In the United States there are more than 3600 facilities that provide dialysis services and 250 hospitals that do kidney transplants. Not all hospitals provide dialysis and/or kidney transplantation.
Today, consumers have many more choices about where they want to be treated. There are 117 facilities in New Jersey that provide dialysis. There are 5 hospitals that do kidney transplantation. In Puerto Rico, there are 37 facilities that provide dialysis and 1 hospital that does kidney transplantation. In the Virgin Islands, there are 3 facilities that provide dialysis.
